Purpose: The main purpose of the contest is to create an atmosphere of competition, friendship and growth among the players participating in the clinics of the Tennis Professionals Neno Dokov and Luis Ponce.
We make champions, who have to prove themselves constantly in the heat of the tennis battle day in and day out, month after month. When the system nourishing a player is strong and the player is successful within the system he will perform successfully everywhere!
Format: The tennis towel contest is held monthly during the whole year and is open to all kids ages 10 to 18. It generates monthly and seasonal rankings in singles and doubles. Every month there will be one event of competitive match playing which will define the number of points each player accumulates for the month and also the monthly winner in different categories. At the end of the season the sum of all points earned during the monthly events will recognize the Champion for the whole season. The matches, singles and doubles, will be played in a tie-breaker format using the up and down (low and high) system utilizing half or full court.
Time and Location: All matches will be played from 6 to 8 PM on Saturdays at Fossler�s Cheltenham Tennis Center. A schedule with the exact dates for the whole season will be given additionally.
Enrollment: The fee for one event is $32. In order to secure their spot, due to the limited number of courts, all participants need to confirm their enrollment not later than the last Wednesday before the event.
Incentives and awards: No doubt the biggest award is the opportunity to improve the competitive skills and to forge a champion character. Plus, every month the participants in the contest will be eligible to take part in the drawing of one Free Tennis Towel (by Dokov Tennis Art) and one Free Private Lesson (given by Neno or Luis at Fossler's). The monthly and seasonal winners will receive medals and trophies. After every event there will be a short Free Pizza Party.
